About Birds of Gilgit-Baltistan
“Birds of Gilgit-Baltistan” is an initiative to provide information about the distribution, description, behavior and records of all the bird species that have been documented in the region. This information will not only update literature about the status of avifauna in the region, but will also serve as a baseline for future research in this subject and conservation efforts. In its current version this portal provides detailed account of about 380 avian species relevant to Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.
